I exhibited my portrait work at the Mall Galleries in London with the Society of Designer Craftsmen and was accepted as a fully fledged member .....oh! and sold a piece too which was very satisfying. I hope it brings a lot of pleasure to whoever was kind enough to buy it. The whole experience was exhausting in terms of completing the work and travelling to London ..... but it was fun too, and I met some lovely, very creative people.
Two Galleries also expressed an interest in my heart leaves which should be on display with the Heart Gallery in Hebden Bridge and Artlink in Hull in time for Valentines Day. Thank you Alison and Katie.
I was though disappointed not to be accepted by the North Yorkshire Open Studios event for 2008. I've enjoyed visiting it in previous years and it would have been great to be a participating artist. Oh well maybe someday .........?

Hi Kerry, Thank you so much for visiting my blog & the positive feedback about the gocco print (I swear that machine has been so closed to being thrown out the window a number of times now!!) I am intrigued to know how you went about getting your beautiful flower sketch onto the plate. I would love to try putting one of my sketches onto ceramics, but without going into a snappy snaps or somewhere similar I am not sure how to go about it? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I use custom made decals created from my drawings which I then fire onto the ceramics using my Hobbycraft kiln. The poppy plates were done at college and I used a company called Cuccolini to make the decals when I had student discount. Having finished my course I am now looking for a reasonably priced alternative - the last company I approached quoted £60 for an A3 sheet! If I find one I shall let you know.
