Looking a little...

severe I think.....but very colourful!
This one looks a little kinder.

I wonder if a drawing can take on the mood of the artist...?

A lazy weekend.....

....is the cure for many ills and a great re-energiser. My only creative activity...apart from baking some apple and honey breakfast muffins(all 12 disappeared within one day!)...was finishing off a drawing I have had hanging around for some time

and some photoshopping of a quick line sketch ......

It was so good to play about with colour again after working on the Bankfield project which is all black and white.

Inspired by...

Marty Harris (of the international moly exchange) 's stacking technique I tried my hand at a little "cafe sketching" today (any excuse to have a latte!!!)....

it was though extremely difficult to be discreet and amazing how quickly people caught onto the fact that I was staring/drawing them!!

Still playing...

with ideas for moly X 25....

.....getting closer but still needs a little tweaking - that saxophone is
not quite right.

A rare moment ...

......of quiet in the house as its very early and I am the only one awake. I relish this time without interruptions when I can indulge my latest "arty" whim and today its photoshop.....trying to increase my knowledge of its capabilities.

Using a photo of the dog rose in my garden and lassoo tools I went from this......

to this.....

interesting......very interesting!!! Now all I have to do next time is remember how I did that!!

A wonderful weekend....

....with the ladies at Bankfield planning and preparing for our exhibition there in October and forward plans to keep our group together. Still not able to post any pictures of the work in progress which is such a shame......all will be revealed in due course.
So, because no post is complete without pictures, these have been my inspiration today....
sweet, sweet williams!

At long last...

...after many a long evening struggling with the complexities (at least for me!!) of dreamweaver and FTP's (whatever they are!) I have launched my textile artist website. I'll be adding to the gallery pages over time but wanted to get the site up and running to coincide with the opening of the San Jose exhibition. In fact I'm two weeks early but if spend any more time on the computer my kids won't recognise me! Besides I'd much rather be drawing ........
